Mpumalanga

In Mpumalanga YDF is in a successful partnership with Scouting Mpumalanga using a community based approach where streetfootball is combined with life skills education. The Scouts trained street football coaches and life skill facilitators who set up street football teams in five districts within Mpumalanga. The focus of the programme is on gender equality as boys hardly accept girls playing in the same team. Besides running regular life skills workshops with the youth, the Scouts have introduced district soccer tournaments as well as an annually provincial tournament.
